myatlas

Introduction

myAtlas is a web enabled application that provides Content Management (CM) and Document Management (DM) in order to:

  • organize and streamline your business
  • reduce errors and reduce costs
  • increase your staff productivity
  • improve customer support

Simple, fast, effective!

myAtlas includes major sub-systems:

  • Business Process Management System (BPM) implemented through projects and tasks
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) covering customers and their contacts
  • Calendar of events
  • Proxies for graded connection with ATLAS ERP

myAtlas allows communication, collaboration, interoperability and interaction of its sub-systems in an integrated environment.

Functionality

All myAtlas objects are governed by workflows that describe the flow of stages and possible transitions from state to state. Modifications of object-states are performed by users themselves and trigger automatic email notification to other users involved.

myAtlas functionality is based on a comprehensive system that determines permissions for users, user groups and their roles within the system. The users rights can be set either directly on myAtlas objects, or in conjunction with their workflow stages.

Finally, because the activity of an enterprise does not necessarily begin and end at its central office and within a tight time-schedule, myAtlas as web-enabled application allows direct, safe and full access to valuable information: from any location, inside or outside the company, at any time, within or outside working hours.

Technology

myAtlas is developed on latest technology, while its operation requires only the use of a browser: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Maxthon, etc.

It is implemented on Plone platform, over Zope flexible and powerful open source Web application server and Content Management Framework (CMF). myAtlas uses the object oriented, open-source programming language Python, like the three basic technologies on which it was implemented (Plone, CMF, Zope).

Any company, regardless of size or purpose, follows procedures to implement its activities. Procedures for production, purchasing, selling, communicating with clients, signing contracts, services and so on. These procedures exists either they are standardized and documented or not. They govern all aspects of business activity, determine business "identity" and are the key factors in achieving its objectives.

  • monitors and informs about all company activities
  • organizes and instantly informs users according to their roles, rights and responsibilities
  • provides full control at all levels, immediate access and secure information retrieval, speed of response and monitoring

BPM is implemented via myAtlas Projects. Each project includes Tasks and may be associated with Customers and Contacts as well as with ATLAS ERP objects. A project can contain documents, images and Calendar events. Projects are governed by workflows that identify their possible states and transitions from state to state. myAtlas can handle unlimited projects, according to the logic and business needs. Project tasks allow registering and monitoring of deliverables (products, services, etc.) and delivered, in quantity and value.

Calendar

The element of time could not be absent from a system that captures company's processes and activities. Thus, myAtlas incorporates a calendar which displays in a vivid way all the recorded events.

Events are admitted by users on any myAtlas object, such as customer, contact, project, task and ATLAS ERP objects. The events could be eg appointments, phones, holidays and other reminders. In this way myAtlas serves as a reminder to users on issues that need to process a certain time.

Connection with ATLAS ERP

myAtlas may cooperate with ATLAS ERP. The projections of ATLAS ERP documents at myAtlas are called Proxies. Through proxies, myAtlas users, according to their roles and rights, can be on-line informed with data from the ATLAS ERP (financial, etc.) even if they do not have ATLAS ERP installed, even if they are outside the company.
